Eligibility for Underfloor Insulation Grants
The ECO4 grant for underfloor insulation is categorized as both a heating and insulation grant. To be eligible, your property must also qualify for a heating upgrade or heating controls.
You can apply for a heating upgrade with underfloor insulation if the primary heating source in your property is any of the following:
- Non-Condensing Boiler
- Back Boiler
- Oil Boiler
- LPG Boiler
- No heating system at all
Additionally, the property should have an EPC rating of E, F, or G, and specific Benefit or Income criteria must be met. This grant is applicable if your property lacks gas central heating and relies on:
- Electric Storage Heating or Electric Room Heaters
- Heating Controls (recommended on EPC)
- Electric Boiler
